Imposter Syndrome Podcast
Elizabeth Hanna
Elizabeth earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care from the University of Utah in 2019 and completed her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification at the University of Cincinnati in 2024. She is an Associate Professor at Westminster University, where she teaches in the Master’s in Nursing program on the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) track.
She worked as a nurse at the Veterans Affairs Hospital on the Float Pool and dabbled in vascular access. In her previous life, she was an educator and food activist/researcher looking at food policy and advertising’s impact children’s health. As a NP she works as an obesity medicine specialist, helping clients achieve their goals through realistic, sustainable solutions. She has a particular interest in menopause and its impact on physical and mental health, as well as the role of food and lifestyle on mental health.
She started the Imposter Syndrome Podcast to shed light on the realities of working as a Nurse Practitioner, asking real NPs the questions she wish she had thought to ask if she had the wherewithal when she was a student. It’s the podcast version of the mentor we wish we’d had when we started our careers.
